The driving simulator is designed to raise drivers’ awareness about the risks of inappropriate speed and getting distracted while behind the wheel.

The two programmes have been developed by a team of experts formed by staff from the Vias Institute and members of a university research team. The simulator can easily be configured for either the distraction or speed themes.
The use of smartphones while driving has a detrimental effect upon the driving task and is one of the leading causes of road accidents. Due to being distracted by their phones while driving, motorists react more slowly, control their vehicle less effectively and fail to notice certain things while on the road.
Excessive speed is still the main cause of fatal accidents on our roads. It’s estimated that speed plays a part in nearly 30% of all accidents which result in a death. The higher a driver’s speed, the greater their braking distance will be and the more their field of vision will be reduced.
After completing a test route with the driving simulator, you will clearly understand how inappropriate speed or the use of a mobile at the wheel negatively affects your driving ability in various ways.
