Testing the quality of face masks

How do you know if the face masks you bought are good quality face masks? And do they have the necessary certificates and study reports? Vias institute can help you find out whether your face masks are of good quality.

Would you like to submit a request for testing your face masks? Download the form, fill in all the details and send it to mondmaskers@vias.be or Masquesbuccaux@vias.be. We will provide you with all the necessary information.

Vias institute as a partner for the quality control of face masks

Vias institute has years of experience in calibrating, examining and homologating various materials such as alcohol tests or safety helmets. As of 2020, Vias institute is also authorized by the Federal Public Service to test the quality of face masks.

Which face masks can we test?

Vias institute can deliver an Alternative Test Protocol certificate for FFP2 masks. In the near future, we will also be able to test other types of face masks such as surgical masks and cloth face masks.

The ATP certificate is, however, only valid in Belgium and is not a CE-certificate. Below, you can find an overview of which tests are applicable.
